Genoa’s Aquarium

The Aquarium is open every day of the year and with an area of 27,000 square meters,hosts approximately 15,000 animals including fish, reptiles, birds, mammals, amphibians and marine invertebrates.
The conditions in which they live is faithful to their original habitat and there are also four large tanks where you can observe sharks, penguins, seals and manatees from two different levels.

The dolphins, housed in the HALL OF CETACEANS, can be seen both from above, thanks to a large glass wall with an opening window or from an underwater perspective thanks to the glass tunnel 15 meters long.
It is possible to assist at meal times, when a trainer will also be available to answer questions from the audience, explains his work and the curiosities related to the lives of these beloved animals.
The Pavilion Cetacean consists of four open tanks - the main display tub, nursery, medical tub bath and curatorial.
Once a month, children aged between 7 and 13 years can experience spending an entire night inside the aquarium, sleeping right in front of the shark tank. This is the so-called "NIGHT WITH SHARKS"
In the Hall of Biodiversity (located in the BLUE SHIP or SHIP ITALY) you can touch the stingrays, which are swimming in the "touch tanks." This pavilion includes turtles, iguanas, snakes and amphibians, and animals of the rain forests or freshwater.

The ROOM OF THE ABYSS has 8 seats Sound and allows for about 3 minutes to feel really immersed in the depths of the sea thanks to advanced technology. It 's a process characterized by sets and digital installations with sound and lights that creates an exciting sense of being underwater.
Other attractions include City of Children, the Bigo, the Biosphere and Antarctic Museum.
